Cheryl, Brian, Pat and Ron came by the boat about 4:00pm. We gave the obligatory tour and we all went and sat up on the bridge. We have our bikes on the back deck; so it decreases our available seating space quite a bit.

We had a couple cocktails up on the bridge and watched our boat neighbors and the geese and ducks in the harbor.

When hunger started to get us we headed on through the city and south to Pat and Ron’s place. They have a cute little cabin just half a block from Lake Huron. It has been in Pat’s family for many years. We had a very nice steak tenderloin dinner and some wonderful red ripe, sweet watermelon. Ron started us a fire in his movable pit and we sat and gabbed. The guys went next door to play some horseshoes. Brian was the big winner for the night.
By 10pm Dan and I were pretty beat. It had been a long day on the water and we are so used to our nine o’clock bedtime that we were both starting to crash. Cheryl drove us back to the boat and we crashed soon after.
We were both up and fighting getting out of bed at 6am. We both tend to do the doze thing; but I usually have to give up by 7 or so because I just get too stiff and achy. We needed to get up and get ready for our next round of company!
